A little background: I’ve got the vehicle listed above AWD and it’s been at the mechanics since end of January for an ABS issue. My mechanic said he’s done many tests and got an auto electrician in as well and the error they are receiving is “stuck solenoid valve on left rear wheel”. I was able to source another ABS unit and he said, same code showing up. Partsworld then sent another ABS unit to replace that one and he same, same code. Obviously, there’s a bit of frustration as my car has been at the mechanic for 2.5 months! The guy at partsworld said there shouldn’t have been any problem with that first ABS unit as they took it out of a car they were driving for the workshop and there was nothing wrong with it, and maybe my mechanic is diagnosing wrong or missing something?

Do you know which parts they are actually changing? That is a 2 part system with the ABS controller and the ABS actuator as 2 parts. The fault could be caused by either piece having a failure. If the shop can find one Toyota has a specific ABS test tool that allows for activation and testing of the individual solenoids that might help pinpoint if it is the hydraulic unit or the EBCM that is causing the problem. It connects to the test connector under the hood and allows for each solenoid to be triggered and tested without input from the EBCM. If it shows that the solenoid is actually functional then the module is reporting a wrong code. I would also suggest trying a different scan tool, It wouldn't be the first time a tool reported a code that was mislabeled.
