The ABS pump stopped sending fluid to my front right tire. A salvage abs pump was put in and the brakes are working well again however, ABS failure lights have come up with a C1235 code.

Is the pressure sensor located in the ABS pump?
Can the old ABS sensor be taken from the removed abs pump and installed in the salvaged, functioning ABS pump throwing the code?
Any other thoughts?

Hi,

I included the complete procedure just so you have it, but the important that I think answers your question is the last page.

You will see that under the component inspection it asks to test it with the key on and see if the code is active. However, it says just before that it could be the code was not cleared from the memory. I don't this is your issue but you will want to clear the code and then see if it returns, if you have not done this.

If it returns, it tells your to swap the HECU with a known good unit. This means the pressure sensor is internal and not serviced separate. I assume you did not have this issue prior which means the salvage part has an issue.

Please let me know if you need more information.
