ABS light came on, on the dash

When the light came on it seems like the brakes are constantly on or the emergency break but its not. when you start to go from a stop it doesnt want to go it drags really bad and has a lot of resistance. also while driving there is a lot of resistance I am not quit sure what this mean my brakes are less then a year old and I need to get this problem fixed as soon as possible for as cheap as possible I have three kids and a busy schedual
