There is a screeching sound under the hood that happens about every 10 seconds while driving. Inside the vehicle, there is a constant loud beep that goes on the entire driving time. Situation lasts for days at a time, sometimes stops for a few days, then starts up again.

Hi,

The three things you indicated above are all tied together. Have you checked to make sure the brake fluid is full? Also, is the screeching sound from the usage of the brakes or does it sound like a belt? Is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear?

If the brake fluid is full, the first thing I would suggest is to have the can-bus system scanned to see if there are any codes related. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the modules/computers are tied together via a few wires. Here is a video showing it being done:

If it's possible, record the sounds you are hearing and upload them for me. Hopefully, I will be able to recognize them.

Also, if the brake fluid is low, it can set all the lights you mentioned, so check that as well.

Take care and let me know what you find.

Joe
