Coming to a gradual stop I hear a sound like a electronic motor buzz for a second or two then my brakes grab and I stop. I know in the left front corner there is the ABS pump/module (not sure of the correct name) I am sure that is where the noise is coming from. Any ideas on what the issue could be? The ABS and brake light did come on one time for about five seconds while driving down the freeway then went off. Thanks!

Hello, I am Danny.

Having the ABS light come definitely means a code is stored now in the cars computer. You should have the codes read to help with diagnosis of your ABS system as there are many components. For example the are ABS wheel sensors on all four wheels and there are front and rear ABS motors. Many things involved that could be causing your ABS module to be acting up. If you do not have access to a code reader/scanner most auto parts stores have a tool loaner program and will rent you one. Some parts store (AutoZone) will read the codes for you for free. Once you get the codes read get back to us with the code numbers and we can help properly diagnose your car. I have attached a tutorial showing what is involved.

It sounds like you may have a wheel speed sensor that is out. These videos will help us find the problem.

Hello again.

I have attached a step-by-step testing picture. For better results you might want to find someone or a shop that has a GM Tech 2 brand scanner. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
