Ve not noticed the noise before, this is the first time it's happened and it seems to have a mind of its own.

There is no consistency in the noise whatsoever apart from the fact it only happens when braking to a standstill or when accelerating from a standstill (but not all the time).

Also, I can't hear the noise in the car when the windows are closed.

3 years ago, I got some repair guy putting the grease into hub bearing that sound removed, but at this time even though both new bearings crank sound occurred.

It is very difficult to diagnosis a noise sounds without hearing it, can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. It sounds an engine mount or a wheel bearing hub
