A little high oil level on dipstick measure

My car engine oil is 5 mm over max level on dipstick.
Is there any problem?

Hello,

Having too much oil in the engine can create issues. Having too much oil can lead to excessive pressure and that can cause crankshaft seals to blow out or leak.
The best course of action when there is too much oil in the engine is to drain out some or use a siphon to suck out of the dipstick tube.

Keep in mind that having a little over the max is not terrible but too much can hurt the engine. So having it at the correct level is what you want to have.

It is hard to say, since the Matrix was not sold in the US, I don't have access to technical data.
Keep in mind since this vehicle uses very little oil, being overfilled even a little can have an impact.
So, the best option would be to get some of the oil out to be at the correct level. This way you know this will be okay.

The catalogue says that the oil quantity between low and full marks is 1 liter, the 5mm is round one third of the distance between the low and full marks.
Does that mean the 5mm on dipstick represents 330ml?

Depending on the shape of the oil pan, it may or may not be exactly correct. But that amount you have calculated appears to be close to what it should be. The total capacity for this engine should be 3.3 liters.

Yes, it is actually 3.3 liter, as per the manual. And the filter takes another 0.3 liter, for a total oil quantity 3.6 liter.
So, if the level became only 0.3 mm above full mark, as I checked yesterday afternoon, is the extra quantity of oil is safe for the engine as it represents less than 10% of the engine oil capacity?

It might be okay as the total volume percentage is not significant.
However if you are able to siphon out some oil would be a good idea but probably not necessary.

Hello Mr. Sean,
I relieved my mind and went to a petrol station and got the excess 5 mm sucked from the oil dipstick opening. Now, oil level is on the MAX exactly.
However, after I went off the station, I've got a bad hunch about one thing; the technician has used the oil extractor machine they have in the petrol station. Yet, the machine has sucked the excessive oil while the engine's hot, just when I arrived at the station. Could the hose material have melted (or part of it) being in contact with the hot oil? And if so, could that make any bad effect on the engine?

Those nozzles or hoses that got used, should not melt coming in contact with the hot engine oil or the dip stick tube.
Most of them are made of hard plastic that can withstand much higher temperatures.
So, it should not have melted.
Only way they can melt if the tube comes in contact directly with the exhaust manifold for a while.

Hello Mr. Sean,

I change engine coolant every 6 months. Last time (3 weeks ago) I changed it, though the old coolant has not been bad. However, I'd rather to not leave it more than 6 months, as my car is old (Hyundai Matrix 2007). The same green coolant "Mannol G13" was added, as usual. But yesterday (after three weeks only of adding the new coolant) I found out that the coolant color has turned to brownish green. I got surprised because the engine temperature has not gotten high recently.
What could be the sudden reason for that?

Having corrosion build up inside the cooling system can turn the coolant into that color. If you would share some pictures of the coolant color.

Knowing that my car was subjected to high temperature a year and half ago, but without harm to engine components. Yet, there were remaining residual corrosion particles on radiator internal surface.

It does appear to be corrosion. You might want to do a chemical test, which checks for combustion gases in coolant (which happens in the event of leaking head gasket).
