After about a mile of driving with the A/C on, I feel a vibration and hear a humming sound. If I turn off the A/C, the noise/vibration stops.
Is this the clutch or the compressor itself?

Hi,

More than likely it is just the clutch pulley assembly. The pulley has a bearing on it that when it wears out it will actually move around and cause this noise. The fact that it only does it when the AC is on, I would just go ahead and replace the clutch and pulley assembly since you have to take it off anyway.

Let me know if you have questions.

Here is a guide that shows the compressor replacement in case you chose to go that route:

Sounds great. Please let us know what happens and we can dig further if needed. However, I suspect you will get it with that. Plus that information will help others that have this issue so if it fixes it, let us know. Thanks for the kind words. Talk to you later. Thanks
