The first thing you need to do is vacuum down the system which this video will show you how to do. Next you will need to remove the dashboard which sounds harder than it is, I will include the instructions for that in the post below this one because it will be too long in one post.

Here’s my HVAC unit case where my evaporator and heater core reside. I’m trying to separate the upper and lower case so I can replace them. The red circles I drew are supposedly called heat stakes. How do I take apart this case? The instructions say use a small chisel but I’m wondering if there’s another way.

Thanks for the images, boy they didn't make that to come apart did they? I would try to drill them out so you can use a nut bolt fastener to reassemble it.

Where did you get the images/diagrams for the repairs on my vehicle? I would like to have access to them so if I ever need to do any repairs on my car I can have the instructions.
