Having a problem with my A/C not blowing through the dash vents. It first started with when I would accelerate the air would be redirected to the vents on top of the dash facing the windshield and go back when I would come to a stop. Now they just stay on the top part of the dash no matter what position the control is on or what speed I am driving.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your blend door actuator. The blend door actuator is a little gear driven servo that directs the air flow in your Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit. They can fail for many reasons, vehicle vibration, vacuum hoses braking, vacuum hoses falling off, etc.
I have included a link down below for you to go to.

Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you find out. If needed we have specific instructions for your vehicle on troubleshooting and changing this part out.

Thanks,
Alex

The mode door vacuum actuator is near the accelerator pedal area of the plenum. You can verify there is vacuum here by unhooking the line to it. Also inspect the lines going to the vacuum reservoir behind the battery tray, a common area for battery acid eaten lines and the reservoir itself. Unhooking a line at the reservoir should sound the hiss when the engine is off, indicating that the reservoir is holding a vacuum. Let us know what you find!
