I have 99 Chrysler Sebring Lxi V6 coupe, I hit a pot hole taking a sharp corner but at reasonable speed. Was able to start her back up and make it home with one pit stop due to my power steering resavur started overflowing and horrible winding started. So next day it wont turn, so far ive replaced the power steering pump and she will slightly turn now but still makes horrible noise when trying to even slightly turn, but will try easier then before. Any suggestions?----I have replaced the power steering pump as well as the power steering fluid, however I'm not entirely sure if power steering requires bleeding(so obviously haven't done that) so have not idled vehicle too long since replacing. Thank You for Your Time!

Hello,

OK, since you replace the pump, most likely there is air in the system there is no bleeder to actually bleed the system so the air will have to work its way out and may take some time, just keep a check on the fluid level, as the air works out the level will drop.

What do you consider a reasonable Speed? Depend it is possible that you could have bent the tie rod connecting to the Steering Rack or Rack and Pinion.

Your welcome,

If still hard to turn you may need a new Rack and Pinion, you could have also jammed up the internal gears on the Rack. Straighten your wheels and take a look at them, are they both parallel with the car? If not then good possibility the rack has been damaged or the Tie Rod has been bent.
