I’m doing a 350 build on my vehicle listed above and I was wondering what’s a good swap on the rear end to hold that much power rather then the stock rear end. I’ve been hearing a 8.8 Ford rear end, but I want more ideas out there.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Are you asking which differential is a direct bolt in replacement or just one that is strong enough for the 350 conversion?Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hello again.

Well, pretty much the strongest rear differential out there is the Ford 9 inch. I'm not sure what size rear differential came in the 1991 S10 Cyclone's and GMC Typhoon's but they could survive those turbocharged 400 hp 3.8L V6's. I'll find out more info in the morning when places are open. I've attached a picture below of a place that does v8 swaps and have a few differentials for sale. Quite pricey though and not sure of your budget. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
