In one of your reply’s to a post regarding a 2006 Explorer. You said “if you end up deciding to rebuild it, contact me”. So I have a 2006 what kind of help can you refer? I am good but this is my girlfriends new used car. What’s the best angle? We will probably trade it for a Dodge when we finish with the swap.

Good morning,

There is a company called ATSG. They make manuals for all the different transmissions. They have great information and would be a terrific help if you are going to do this one by yourself.

Since you are a tech, I would get the manual and follow the steps for rebuilding the transmission.
