I changed the clutch and put transmission and transfer back same day. Didn't put linkage in the same. Drove home in 2 hi. Next morning put in lever for 4x4 and now truck is stuck in 4 lo. Can't get transfer case to go to 2hi. Any ideas?

If you drove the vehicle home in 2HI and then the shifter was in 2HI when you installed the lever?

I would think that it is stuck because there is either torque on the t-case or the shifter is out of adjustment.

I would raise the vehicle off the 4 tires and remove the shifter. Then put the lever in 4 HI on the transfer case, this should be the full forward position, and the shifter in 4Hi. Make sure the lever and shifter line up. If they do, install the shift lever. If not, make the adjustment to it so they line up.

Tried adjustment both ways on linkage no difference. Same problem. Does the transfer case have to have vaccum on it on those 92 model trucks?

When you take the lever off, can you move the shifter manually?

I attached the operation of the transfer case for your review. However, can you tell me which one you have? Second attachment are the options. Thanks
