Intermittent instability issue for over a year, worsened after front right wheel hub replacement.

Symptoms:

At highway speeds (worse 55+ mph), vehicle becomes unstable.

Whole car feels like bouncing, rumble-strip vibration, and side-to-side instability.

Other drivers visibly react / slow down when it happens.

Feels chaotic and unpredictable, not rhythmic.

Issue sometimes resets and vehicle drives normally again.

During episodes:

Engine RPM changes without changing throttle input.

Gas pedal response feels reduced or altered.

Brake pedal sometimes requires different pressure.

Occasionally Stabilitrak / traction control light appears.

TPMS light blinks at startup then stays solid (both front sensors failed weeks apart).

Sometimes burning smell after episodes.

Work already performed:

Both front struts replaced.

Both front lower control arms replaced.

Alignment performed.

Front right wheel hub replaced.

Tires balanced multiple times.

Dealer diagnostic performed ($250) – no resolution.

Suspension work completed after dealer visit.

Notes:

Issue worsened after hub replacement.

Front right tire shows uneven wear and surface pitting.

No consistent ABS codes stored.

Problem is intermittent and difficult to reproduce during short test drives.

Hello,

I would raise the car and spin the tires to watch for rim wobble, also does this car have after market rims?

Sometimes the center hub to to big or small and wont fit correctly on the hub. Can you please upload an image of the rims? It could also be a faulty or incorrect front right hub / ABS signal causing intermittent Stabilitrak activation at highway speed and because this is dynamic and electronic, it feels chaotic - not rhythmic like a tire issue. What brand wheel bearing hub did you use? If it is a off brand I would replace it with an AC Delco unit.

When the problem happens does the ABS system engage? Please check things over and give me more information so I can help you fix it. Ken
