Hi, I have ordered new shock absorbers and associated wear parts for the front struts. Can you please provide the work instructions including one use bolts/nuts, pro tips and torque specifications?

Thank you all again.

The vehicle listed above is an SL model.

Hi,

If you ordered the strut assembly, it is a relatively easy job. If you ordered replacement shocks to be installed on the old assembly, that will require a little more work.

Let me know what you are getting so I can provide the correct directions. Also, when I said strut assembly, which will come with a new coil spring and assembly together. If you only ordered the shock, that is all that will come.

Let me know.

Joe

See pic below. I circled the assembly and highlighted the shock.

Hi,

First, I attached the removal and installation directions first, pics 1-3. The remaining pics are the directions for disassembly and reassembly of the strut unit.

You will need a coil spring compressor to do this. Most parts stores will lend one to you. Now, when you install the compressor tool, make sure it is tight, secure, and can't slip. If the tool would let go once the coil is compressed, it could cause serious harm. Keep in mind, that is what holds the vehicle up, so it is very strong.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
