When my wipers are turned off they run and stop randomly. The only way to stop this is to turn the engine off. They run more than they are off. They go off for about 10 seconds then continue to run. The control arm has no affect on the wiper motor but it does activate the washer motor. This started the morning after the wipers were frozen to the windshield. I turned them on and they Didn't work because they were frozen so I turned them off. After work I started my car and the wiper turned on with the switch off. I have no control over the wipers! How do I fix this problem?

Either bad connection to body control module or intelligent power module(under hood fuse box) or bad components themselves. Check all connection to body module, power module, wiper motor. If any corrosion in any connection, clean and apply dielectric grease. If no change then may be a bad power module, body module, or wiper motor. The wiper motor also has a sensor in it that puts it in park but may not be functioning properly when wipers are turned off so it can't park the wipers. Included are diagrams for reference.

Power module is picture 1 in diagram and body control module is picture 2. Body module is behind glove box.
