At the bottom of the speedometer at the bottom center, a small red light comes on sometimes when the car is turned off. It sometimes eventually goes off, but tonight it won't. What is this and will it drain the battery over night? Have owned the car about 2 months and this started about a week ago.

A small LED won't take up much current and that is most probably the security light. It should come on and start blinking when the system is armed and might not come on immediately.

If alarm has been triggered, it might stay on for a while until the system is rearmed.
