2011 Nissan Frontier lower glove box is locked

The lower glove box is locked. I have tried using both orginal keys and neither will unlock. Cannot gain access to registration, insurance card, and other important documents.

What does the owner's manual say should be used as a key? How did it get locked originally? You may need to take it to either a dealership or a locksmith. Traditionally the glovebox key has been the door key.
