2010 Vauxhall Astra Handbrake

Handbrake froze on a few weeks ago with bad weather, drove the car while the handbrake was on :(
I've replaced the brake pads, handbrake still isn't as effective as it was before this happened and was wondering if I replaced the caliper will the handbrake be as good as before? Please help

We have no info on these but your handbrake may be under rotor and you'll need to see if the shoes are worn. Or try an adjustment as it may be like the one in picture which is off a Camaro. The rotor goes over the shoes like a drum
