I have a rather small 2 car garage. I keep 2 cars in it. I am always extra careful not to open my car door enough as to touch the other car. Is this a concern? If one car door was to open up and touch the other car would it do paint damage on either car or is the paint strong enough to be touched by another car door and not have any damage on either car?

depends on how hard it touches and the angle. it should take a reasonable touch without damage.

you can get and install clear/chrome door edge guards made of plastic that should reduce the tendency to chip/scrape.
