I WAS THINKING ABOUT REPLACING MY OLD PICKUP WITH A 2010 F-150, BUT I HAVE READ ABOUT THESE MODELS HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, WITH APPARENTLY NO PERMANENT FIX. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS APPLIES TO THE 4-SPEED OR 6-SPEED. i WAS LOOKING A 4.6L ENGINE WITH THE 4-SPEED. aNY ADVICE?

I have a six speed transmission in my 2009 and the dealership agrees there is a shifting or loss of torque problem but is now trying different fixes with the computer and fuel ratio. This has been going on for six months and is starting to cost me with extra gas due to reduced mileage

there are 3 tsb's that deal specifically with teh 6 speed trans. If you have h ad it back to the dealer more than 4 times with no results you can try to apply the lemon law to your vehicle. Ford will then h ave to do something about it to satisfy you. I don't know how to go through the steps to do this though.
