The custome wheels should not make a difference on the range. What is the accuracy of the fuel gauge itself? There are some issues with fuel transfer from saddle to saddle, affecting fuel remaining, and therefore affecting range.

My car has a rough idle, both when it is sitting still and drives kind of rough. When in park the rough idle goes away. The check engine light is on and it reads P0430 which I know pertains to the catalytic converter. Would the rough idle be a product of the catalytic converter going bad, and if I have to replace it would I need to replace the 02 sensors as well? Also, my sunroof is having some issues with closing all the way. At one point of time it would only close half way but I did the over ride procedure and now it closes all the way except about an inch, how could I go about figuring out how to fix this problem?

On the motor, no the cat has nothing to do with the roughness and no, you dont have to do the sensors.

Start with a compression test to verify the motor is good.

As far as the sunroof, spray the tracks and cable and see if that helps before looking at a motor or track assembly

You are at 2carpros. Com

You may have misread something (sorry) the "live mechanic thing" is most likely an advertisement for another site, seen in the margins of this site

Our site guarantees an answer quickly if you donate (whatever amount you wish)---and a free question usually gets answered too, maybe not so fast. We try really hard to help everyone!

Anyway, i'm a jeep cj kinda guy, who saw you patiently waiting

The thumping may be an actuator motor freaking out or maybe the fan

Continue to respond with findings. Even if I am no more help, each time you or anyone else posts, your question moves to the top of the forum. Others may see your question and be sorta be enticed to assist

Good luck

The medic

Yesterday the check engine light on the car started flashing and when we come to a stop car started shaking but while driving it is fine. So I took it into the dealership they tell me needs spark plugs and a catalytic converter. 2-3 weeks ago I took it in for the oil change they gave me a list of things that it needed brakes, a little leak etc. But that was not one of the items. The ladies that call us make commission on what they get us to do so I'm not real comfortable. Can you tell me signs I should look for.

You have the signs and was told the issue. It can happen anytime no matter what work you had done before. If you dont believe them, get another opinion

Those are for the two O2 sensors ont he right bank pre and post of converter. But it cold be a converter. You need tohave a pro scanner to seeif theya re working or not. The other was a mass air flow sensor which it may need cleaneing or duckt work is off or has holes in it as well as any grommet offor holes in them. The last one wasn'r readable.

When I start the car and the transmission is still cold it runs and drives fine but as soon as it starts to get warm it wont go into any gear and when you push the gas makes a weird noise. Then the car acts as its in safe mode will not go into any gear at all but has no check engine lights or codes.

When was the last time you changed the oil and filter? The filter may be clogged or the trans has failed internally.

This sounds like an intermittent problem it could be the harness at trans or just plain old dirty battery cables or a ground. I'd say keep an eye on it and see if it happens again.
