When I drive from Fort Worth to Dallas, and back again my transmission seems to make a high pitch my last 5 miles away from home only in the summer time. In the winter its fine, and I have no problems. Does this sound like a tranny cooler problem?

Start with checking the quality of the transmission oil, is it a bright red or a dirty brown?

I had changed it a couple of years ago with Valvoline CVT.

It should be serviced every 2 years, you should drop the pan and inspect for debris as well.
