2009 caravan sxt 3.9 motor with 55000 and I lose oil. By the time the oil pressure light comes on I take it in and needs about 4.5 qts. Do I even need an oil change? Ive been fighting this since the beginning. They changed my PCV valve and still the same. No leaks, no burning. They say you lose a qt every 1,000 miles but thats just crazy. Dodge manual says change the oil every 5000 miles and im sticking with it, my engine blows than this is my reason. Luckily I bought the extended warranty otherwise. Its a pain to worry (everytime)about this towards the 3000 oil change mile mark but thats what I get for buying a chrysler car. Good luck!
