My back brakes squeal VERY loudly when I reverse. Only when start up and very rarely after. Other than that it's pretty much fine. I took it to the dealership and of course they didn't hear anything and the guy stated that it's because it is cold. The sound is rather embarrassing. Could it truly be because it's cold? He checked my pads and said they all have about 70% life on them.
Probably cold brakes and glazed rotors, get them machined and that should fix the problem

Along with the previously posted answer, have the brake hardware properly cleaned and lubricated. And check the brake pads for glazing as well (if the rotors have dealt with enough heat to cause them to glaze the pads have dealt with the same amount of heat).
