2009 Cadillac wire issue

I have a 2009 cadillac STS for which I'm trying to hard wire a radar detector. I'm having a hard time finding a keyed wire! I have found a battery wire on the cig lighter but I need a accessory wire so the detector will be off when the car is off. I have found wires I thought were accessory wires but turned out not to be or ack funny when tapped! Any advice or web site that will show me a diagram. Did find one promising wire, pink wire to the auto dimming mirror. Only problem is finding that pink wire on the floor where I need to tap into it.

Connections like that are usually made at the fuse box. The problem with your car is the fuses are under the back seat. You really need someone that knows what they are doing to identify a safe circuit to tap into. You have a lot of modules that can be damaged easily.

Thanks for such a fast reply. I have a fuse box under the rear seat? I found one under the hood but didn't know of the one under the seat! Do you know of a site to look at wiring diagrams? Or do you know of a circuit (under seat) that I could use.

There are 2 fuse boxes under the rear seat and they have numerous "key on" circuits that could be used but you have to make sure you are running through the fuse and not after it.

I can't thank you enough. Later I will pull the back seat and check some circuits. Yes, I will makesure I'm after the fuse. I radar detector hard wire kit also has a fuse on it. Thank you again for your help.
