2008 Suzuki Xl7 Heater Will Only Blow Hot Air Wile Motion Idle Stop Sign Light

My heater will only blow hot air wile it is in motion. WHen it is idle or a stop sign/light the air turns cold. The thermostat shows a normal reading. WHat could cause this

Check the thermostat and the coolant level

i would suspect a restriction in the heater core.or low coolant
