Just wondering if I can prolong my tires by having the alignment done

Hi. I just purchased a 2008 pontiac G5 and there seems to be a pretty good pull to the right. Im about to change over to snow tires, but was wandering if I should have a front wheel alignment before installing the winter tires?PLZ HELP

Have the front suspension and brakes checked. Either one of these will cause this. Also a bad tier would as well. If you want change back tires to front and see if it makes a difference.
