My catalytic converter is making some noise

Can hear noise when I take off. Can I drive my car if its needs a catalytic converter, will it mess up the engine, how long can I drive it until something more happens. Thanks

So is the cat clogged or do you just have a cat code?

Don't know I can hear tha noise and tha shop I took it 2 just listen 2 it and said it was cat converter.

So its not causing a drivabilty issue?Its just broken loose and rattling?If thats the case you will be ok right now but keep in mind the pieces that broke loose will start to travel down the exhaust pipe causing clogs at some point.I would replace it as soon as you can.
