I removed and cleaned the throttle body on my 2008 GMC Canyon. Not knowing that it didn't have an IAC to clean due to rough idle, I removed the retainer clips to the plastic end-cover to reveal the gears. It came apart about 1/4 inch before I felt resistance and decided it best to just close it back together and clean the throttle body. After putting everything back together, I got a "reduced power mode" indication above the mileage and limped back home. Is there something I needed to do when I put that gear cover back on that syncs the butterfly with the electrical component in the cover? What do I do to have everything reset if it is correctable? Thanks
