Hello. My 2008 Mustang GT (3,389 miles-slightly babied) has a problem. Battery died from sitting in garage over winter not being driven. New battery as of last Fall. Tried to charge the battery, and the tail or brake lights (2 outside bulbs on each side) came on and stayed on. Battery did not charge enough to start car. Disconnected battery and charged it last night. Reconnected battery this morning, car started right up, no light problem. Later, I started the car and moved it out of garage to wash it, and then when I pulled it up to finish out of the puddles, I noticed the rear lights were back on. I tried restarting, running, and turning off the car again, taking the parking brake off, turning the light switch on and off, etc. But the lights are just staying on. I am afraid to drive it 20 miles into town and then have to find someone to jump start me. Any help would be appreciated. I asked the local ASE mechanic, who didn't have any ideas for me. Thank you for your help.
