I have a 2008 Ford Edge and when I drive whether I drive up a hill or on flat ground I get this Putting or jerking motion like its not getting enough gas or power. So times its hard and sometimes its little but it worries me. No lights are on inside the car. Could it be the transmission or the fuel pump.

It could be many things. Without the check engine light being on, it becomes a guessing game. Tell me this. Is there any noise associated with this problem?

No knocking or anything like that, Its more of a putting to a jerking motion it does. I did see that people were having a problems with the transmission on 2007 and 2008 ford edge's.

I just checked for recall or campaign information, and there is nothing related to the transmission. Does it sound like the engine could have a miss? Have you checked the trans fluid to make sure it is clean and full? Actually, it is a sealed system. You need to have it checked at a dealer or shop that can check the fluid.
