Im trying to replace my brake light switch. I cant get the old/factory switch to come out though. It will only turn a tiny but then stops. It wont turn any further than that. Wont twist out wont pull out. Am I doing something wrong or what?

Remove the clip and remove pin and then it should come out to where you can get it out. See pic make sure to disconnect electrical first.

Ya normally a screwdriver then move it towards you and unplug the two switchesthe clip has a small groove then a larger one so the pin can come out. It's pretty simple really

What isent is what our manual says I tmay be tha tit screws in and held with a stamped nut on the back they have nothing on this for removal and I thought that would at least let the bracket out so you could see. Check for a stamped nut on back of switch then. Also look between the switches and see if there is a nut there see if that will coe off and the barek switch will drop down for removal. Included is a pic so it may have aclip or stamped nut holding it on.
