Car listed above is a Stationwagon. I had drove the for a good while and then when I parked to go inside it didn't start back up. A while back I had a misfire problem with the car and it was misfiring on all four cylinders and replaced all four spark plugs and coil packs and the misfiring stopped. The car also would shut off sometimes while idling if I were to drive into a parking spot and sit for a moment it would rev up on its own and then stall out and quit running. Someone said that it sounded like my alternator was going bad but this was before it stopped working. Now the battery is brand new it had four new spark plugs (before oil in my spark plug wells caused them to foul out) and coil packs but the spark plugs have been fouled out from I think oil got into them because of what I believe is to be a bad/cracked valve cover gasket but I have yet to have time to check. Help, I know very little when it comes to Volkswagen. I want to say I have narrowed it down to 1. A possible bad alternator. 2. Bad spark plugs and oil in the spark plug wells. 3. Bad/cracked valve cover gasket. 4. Maybe a bad starter as well. And I am not going to rule out fuses as well. I don't have the diagram for it so figuring out which ones are what is a problem. I am not sure but these are what I think may be wrong with it maybe. Please help. I have also left a video of me attempting to start it.

I have seen this issue before where the spark plugs were oil fouled. You could clean or replace the spark plugs and all will be good. But the root cause will be an issue with the engine itself. With the high mileage you would need to overhaul the engine.

Taking the engine apart and replacing piston rings and valve guide seals. It seems like your engine is consuming too much oil.

Okay well I will most likely replace the spark plugs and valve cover gasket like I have been advised to, but if it still doesn't start after these have been replaced. What could it be?

If you believe the battery or alternator is faulty, then have the battery and alternator tested. If you have misfires and the plugs are oil fouled then you have an oil comsumption problem. What was the battery and alternator test results?

The battery is brand new but I haven't tested the alternator yet I will have to have that done and then I would know. I think that you may be right as far as the piston rings and valve cover goes. So my previous thoughts about the alternator aren't bothering me anymore. I will try to do that and see where it leads me. If it is still not running after that then back to the forum I suppose. Thank you sir.
