I am the original owner of a 2007 toyota yaris sedan, over the last year, I have had increasing road noise inside the car and lately it has gotten even worse. The tires have been replaced in the last 6 months, and the wear patterns were even all around. If I make a hard right turn at speed, the noise goes away or at least gets a lot quieter, but back again when I straighten out. No "metallic" noises or grinding, just sounds like tire on road, but very loud.

Suspect a noisy front wheel bearing. You can verify that by running the vehicle in gear, on a hoist, and listening next them with a stethoscope, or by holding your fingertips on the coil spring and feeling for the vibration when you slowly spin the wheel by hand.
