Hi guys,

My diagnostic tool has picked up the code for the Crank Angle Sensor after the engine light went on. I've got the replacement part, just need to know WHERE the Crank Angle Sensor is on a 2007 Prado and what I have to remove (if anything) to get to it.

Cheers,
Lori

Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts or that they're bad. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis, or the unacceptable operating condition. When a part is referenced in a fault code, usually a sensor, that part is actually the cause of that code about half of the time. First you have to check wiring, connector terminals, and mechanical problems related to that circuit.

There's no Prado listed in the online service manuals I have access to so I can only look at a photo of the sensor, if you list the right engine. My reference web sites don't list a 4.0L engine.

Hi,
I did list the correct engine size, it is most certainly a 4.0 litre petrol V6 but never mind, I worked out the problem.
Thank you any way.
