My 2007 Saturn Ion has been losing coolant. When I start the car it idles rough just at the start and sometimes there is white smoke out of the exhaust. This only happens after I start it and take off but it is fine the rest the time I'm driving.

Go get a head check done, this is a simple chemical test to check for Co in the cooling system, if so you will have a head gasket problem, white smoke is coolant being burnt, start here.
