Vibrations / shudders in steering whell

First try switching tires form front to back. Tires cause a lot of trouble like you are experiencing. Then have them checked for balance. If the vibration goes away then you have solved your problem. It also may be due tot he different brand/tread pattern of the front tires. Otherwise it's going to be maybe an axle shaft problem or possible motor/trans mount problem.
