just filled up gas tank. drove 5 miles. 'engine' icon and VSC icon came on--on dash. How do i reset?

Retrieve the trouble codes and let us know the EXACT code. If there is a fault in the system, the fault has to be rectified before resetting works. Most parts stores provides free scanning services and they can reset for you.
