When stoped at the light the car shakes a lilttle and white smoke comes out and now the engine light is on

The combination of symptoms suggests the cylinder head gasket is leaking. You'll need to have the diagnostic fault codes read and recorded. Most likely there will be one related to a misfiring cylinder.
