I'd just changed a front flexible pipe. After changing the check engine sign lights up. Does the changing od the flexible pipe causes it to lights on. I'd never had this experience before in the past. Done very good regular 10k and 20K maint without fail. Drive most carefully ever.

Pls help to advise.

Thanks

Hello,

It sounds like it might an issue with the oxygen sensor not getting correct reading.

The flex pipe you installed did it come with a port for the oxygen sensor?
If the oxygen sensor did not get installed properly it can trigger the engine lights.
Also many times on the aftermarket pipes the oxygen sensor port might not be at the right specification which can put the sensor at a position, which can make the sensor not get proper reading.

Anytime you get the service engine soon light, first step would be get it scanned for the trouble code(s). Which can determine the issue and help with the diagnostics.

Thank you.
