My passenger side front power window stopped working a few weeks ago. I ordered a new aftermarket switch and installed it today. The problem is that when I roll the window up, it doesn't stop when I let off of the button. It rolls down just fine and stops when I release the button, but as soon as I pull the switch back to make the window roll back up it takes off back up but doesn't stop when I release the button. It will roll all of the way up with one flick of the switch and will never stop until I unplug switch or turn ignition off. I have to do one of the two because it will keep trying to turn window motor even after it is fully up making the motor get hot. I don't want to fry the motor so I turn it off. I think I may have gotten a bad switch that is sticking in the up position but not for sure? My old switch would do nothing at all up or down. Please help! Thanks!

I agree that it is a bad switch. I would replace it.

I ordered another oem switch and same problem? Window rolls down just fine but still doesn't stop on the travel back up when I let off of the button. This is really getting annoying! Please help!
