2007 Odyssey door lock

I have a 20007 honda Odyssey when locking vehicle with key fob and than trying to unlock wiyh key in door cylinder the security horn goes off but if we lock and unlock with key there is no alarm going off. The dealer has told us that door cylinder is bad. Is this correct?

If it is a factory alarm system with no additions or modifications, the key switch is most likely to be faulty.

Try with passenger front door and test if symptoms are similar, if yes, I would get some iagnostics done to confirm as not likely for both door loock switches to be faulty at the same time.
