Shift lock release

The vehicle listed above (xlt model) won't shift out of park. It is stuck. I think it's the shift lock solenoid but I'm not sure. How do I get the car out of park? I pushed the brake in but the button on the gear shifter won't go in. Need help ASAP!

The shift interlock solenoid is located in the steering column. You will need to remove the cover. Here is a guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
