2007 Ford Expedition Limp mode light

My Expedition just had the Limp Mode light come on on my way home this evening. I ran it for trouble codes and none came back. It also doesn't seem to be restricting anything or running different. Any advice on where to go from here? Other than an expensive diagnostic trip to the shop.

You ran it for trouble codes, what does that mean? Do you have a snap on scanner or just a code reader?

The hand held scan tool has limitations.
You might need to seek out a more powerful scan tool to uncover the issue(s)
