This ones stumped every mechanic I know. Good luck. I bought this vehicle new in 2007. It has always been maintained and well taken care of. The issues started at around 58000 miles. She started idling funny at a stop. It normally idles around a grand but would fluctuate to 1500 then drop and almost die. Then it died on mommy in the drive thru. I installed new plugs and coil packs. It helped, but didn't quit. Now the strange part. She called at work and said she was driving and the power steering quit working, the accelerator quit, but all the electronics and engine was still running. I thought she was mistaken and the engine had died and she didn't think so because a/c and everything will run with key on. I drove over 300 miles the next day with no issues. The following day it did it to me. I was running 60, lost power steering, power brakes, and all throttle response. I shifted to neutral, turned key off, started again and resumed fine. In that short time, I dropped to under 40 mph. It spooks me in case it happens on the freeway with my four kids in the car. The traction control light will kick on for a few minutes, then turn off. The check engine light is on, it is for the gas cap and a vacuum leak that I have had several guys look for with no luck. I don't know if it's related, but it will downshift while braking very hard very rarely. It almost feels like the rear wheels are braking harder than front. It is extremely rare that that happens, so I never thought it would affect it, but I'm trying to give you everything. I really hate to trade this newly paid off vehicle in, but my wife's leery about driving it now. Anything y'all got will be truly appreciated and used. Thanks

Check battery for condition including load test low battery will cause these type of problems. Also clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner. Also if you are having symptoms like in pic there is a tsb to reflash the computer as there is a minor problem for drivability. There is a tsb for the evap problem but the truck has to be built between Jan 26,2007 and june 18,2007 however not sure Chrysler will fi x it due to age. The braking problem can be that you have bled the brakes once without opening abs valves with a scanner and it hangs up occasionally or the tsb that I have included the symptom which you can verify from your explanation etc. But both of these require a reflash. Your evap system will need replacing of parts for that tsb and like I said not sure Chrysler will fix it due to age.
