Hello,
It does sound like faulty CV axle.
Do a visual inspection of the CV shaft. Check the boots for leaks. If it is leaking you will have grease all over suspension components.
When a CV boot leaks it allow dirt and debris inside and that will cause it to make the clicking noise when turning.
Replacing the CV axle can be done in just a few hours depending on your comfort level.
You will need basic hand tools as well as a torque wrench to complete the job.
You will have to raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands and take off the wheel to get starter.
