Check fuel pump relay for corrosion on prongs and try to clean off then put dielectric compound on prongs. Then scan for codes there is a front control module that supply's power to fuel pump relay and it is part of tpim module so that may be the culprit.

Thanks: can you expect another cause? For example in air flow or spark plugs?

I kind of doubt it as it sounds more like no fuel getting to engine until the module cools down then it will run. If the module doesn't send a signal to turn pump on to relay would pretty much be it. It may pick it up if a pro scans it as auto parts scanners can only read engine/trans codes.
