When I shut my car off the fan keeps running. I need to disconnect the battery in order to prevent the battery from draining. Also, the engine runs rough when I start it up now.

First, check the fan relay to see if it is bad. As far as the rough running, is the check engine light coming on?

Thanks for your answer. I was able to get the relay Shang ed out today. So far so good! Also, yes the engine light is on, it's been on for quite some time now. It's sending a code for Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. I was told there are three that it could be. Not sure how accurate that is though.
That will be my next project I guess.
